Use voice input
Speak to Kera instead of typing. Create tickets, search, and get status updates using natural voice commands in the chat panel.
-
1 Open the chat panel
Click the chat icon in the right sidebar or use your keyboard shortcut to open the chat panel.
-
2 Start recording
Click the microphone button or press the voice shortcut to begin recording.
-
3 Speak your request
Talk naturally. Kera understands commands like:
"Create a ticket for fixing the login bug" "What's the status of the auth epic?" "Show me all tickets assigned to me" "Move ticket KER-42 to in review" -
4 Kera transcribes and sends
Your voice is transcribed and sent as a chat message. You can review the transcription before it's sent, or let it go automatically.
-
5 AI processes your request
The AI interprets your request and takes action — creating tickets, running searches, reporting status, or anything else you can do via chat.
Transcription providers
Kera supports multiple transcription backends. Choose the one that fits your needs.
- Browser Speech API — built-in, no setup needed, works offline. Good enough for most use cases.
- Server-side Whisper — configure via your transcription provider settings. More accurate than the browser API.
- Deepgram, AssemblyAI, or custom — bring your own transcription provider for specialized needs or compliance requirements.
Tips
- Voice works for any chat command: creating tickets, searching, status updates, and more.
- Transcription quality depends on your provider — server-side is more accurate than the browser Speech API.
- Speak clearly and at a natural pace for the best results.
